Refurbishment

Refurbishment & Extension to Grade II Listed Building

This was a restoration project to restore and enhance a historic building situated in Gloucestershire. The restorations were carried out using traditional methods & materials. A new single storey extension was built to provide an enlarged Kitchen/Breakfast/Living area using local stone walls and roof tiles to match the main house. The internal layout was redesigned with the main entrance to the dwelling relocated and a new stone roof porch constructed.

The existing linked outbuildings were renovated to provide new playroom and utility areas. The stable block was converted into separate accommodation with two bedrooms. A redundant outbuilding was upgraded to become an additional storage area near to the courtyard garden. In addition a new timber pole barn was constructed.

Relph Ross provided all the traditional detailing for the new dormers & sash windows & external doors. New internal joinery including doors, cupboards & vanity units were also carefully detailed.
